UPDATED STATEMENT FROM THE ERIE COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY (ECWA)
REGARDING STATUS OF CURRENT WATER MAIN BREAKS
"As of 10:45am today, ECWA is experiencing four (4) water main breaks throughout its service district, including:
- Hillsboro Road, Cheektowaga
- South Seine, Cheektowaga
- North Linden Street, Amherst
- Pleasant Avenue, Orchard Park
"ECWA crews are at or have been dispatched to the various locations. It is anticipated that repairs at these sites will be completed by early to mid-afternoon today.
"After an above average incidence rate over the weekend, main break occurrences are back to normal levels today.
"ECWA continues to communicate with customers in the affected areas via its dispatch center as well as its web site, social media platforms and SMS alert system."
